Si vocifera, più o meno insistentemente, che crapple potrebbe rilasciare un iPhone 5 di fascia media oltre al device che andrà a rimpiazzare l’iPhone 4 nel cuore (e nelle tasche!) dei fan della mela. Se questa ipotesi dovesse rivelarsi veritiera allora assisteremmo ad un completo rivoluzionamento dell’attuale scontro iOS-Android, con crapple che scenderebbe in campo non solo con un costoso device di fascia alta, ma anche un secondo device di fascia media, con caratteristiche e prezzo inferiori rispetto al top, ma comunque in grado di attrarre gran parte di coloro che finora si sono tenuti ben distante dall’offerta crapple per via del prezzo (e pare siano tanti). Secondo alcuni rumors, Tim Cook presenterà l’iPhone il prossimo 4 ottobre. Le voci sono suffragate dal fatto che l’Ex Vice presidente Al Gore, attuale membro del consiglio di amministrazione crapple, ha detto durante una conferenza che “un nuovo iPhone sarà reso pubblico il prossimo mese”. Proprio i commenti di Gore hanno alimentato ulteriormente le voci di un prossimo iPhone di fascia media, che andrebbe a completare meglio la gamma iPhone verso il basso, competendo direttamente con i device Android più diffusi. L’iPhone 5 utilizzerà il nuovo iOS 5, che porterà diverse novità rispetto al precedente iOS e una maggior integrazione con il Cloud. L’unione tra il nuovo sistema operativo e il rinnovato e più potente hardware dell’iPhone è già una bella gatta da pelare per i produttori di device Android, ma se dovesse essere rilasciato anche un secondo iPhone 5 di fascia più bassa, allora sì che potremo davvero vederne delle belle!
