Si ma airfail per leggere gli mkv no, la rete wifi non reggerebbe e soprattutto addio decodifica da parte dell'amplificatore.
Vabbé dai la compro, al peggio la rivendo tra un mese, e penso di approfittarne per comprare un iPad 2 da regalare alla mia ragazza, visto che ora é sceso a 399$.

Ma installando xbmx rimane comunque è possibile all'avvio scegliere se avviare normalmente o con xbmc, oppure solo xbmc?

premesso che FC, dato non ho l'crapple tv, ma:

To be blunt: Use the Linux-based OS option. Crystalbuntu is probably the easiest one out there right now. It might sound scary, but unless you still use some of the original features on the ATV OS, you will be MUCH happier using the linux-os version. Under a Linux-based OS the crapple TV 1 has more power to give to XBMC (due to various technical reasons) which will make XBMC much faster, and has greater support going into the future. It's also the only option if you want to have full 1080P output (Original ATV OS only does 720, which is then upscaled to 1080).

aahah no.

Principalmente perchè atv1 è fuori produzione da un sacco di tempo, è grossa ed è pure costosa cercandola sull'usato.

Il futuro è roba come il raspberry pi che per 35$ ha decodifica 1080p hardware e supporto di una forte comunità, oppure l'atv3 jailbreakkata che per 109€ è una scatoletta completa, di dimensioni meravigliose e ha l'uscita audio digitale.
